Magnetic and fluorescent silica particles

  • combine separation and detection purposes,

  • can be separated also in highly viscous media with conventional permanent magnets,

  • show a homogeneous distribution of magnetite and covalently bound fluorescence dye in the silica matrix by the special preparation method,

  • are available with red fluorescence (-red, excitation: 569 nm, emission: 585 nm) and green fluorescence (-green, excitation: 485 nm, emission: 510 nm),

  • consist of cluster-typed aggregates in the size range of 3 - 10 µm with a mean diameter of 6 microns,

  • are extremely stable in organic solvents and at high temperatures,

  • are available with a plain surface (Si-OH) or with NH2 or COOH groups on the particle surface.
